Jerry Lanson: Journalist, Writing Coach, Blogger, Wanderer I teach, write, coach journalists and sing, though you're not required to listen to the latter. I'm a journalism professor at Emerson College in Boston, the seventh college at which I've taught, and a former deputy city editor at the San Jose Mercury News. In addition to "Writing for Others, Writing for Ourselves," I've published two textbooks, contributed opinion pieces to the Christian Science Monitor and several websites, written a column for three years called "Muddling Through Midlife" while teaching at Syracuse University, and started a half-dozen blogs. I currently blog at huffingtonpost.com/jerry-lanson. My passions include my two grandchildren, politics, music, mountains,
golden retrievers and most things French. |
